Step 1. Learn About the Program
About AMAZE
AMAZE.org was founded because experts in various fields came together and identified a problem: young people have questions about their bodies and lives but are often being met with silence and shame. With over 100 million views, AMAZE has published over 280 animated videos covering puberty, consent, sexual orientation, healthy relationships, and more.
AMAZE Youth Ambassador Program
Our Youth Ambassador Program is for teens ages 13–17 who want to make a difference. They share ideas, give feedback on our videos, and help us make AMAZE better for other young people. In return, youth will get the chance to go behind the scenes with the AMAZE animation team, and we also provide trainings on speaking with the media, building an effective resume, & much more! Oh, and yes…they get paid.
Responsibilities include:
- Participating in one video call every other month via Zoom from September 2025 to June 2026
- Completing surveys sent every other month
- Providing feedback and advice to the AMAZE team on video ideas, content, new initiatives, and other AMAZE-related items
- Committing to recruit 3-5 peers for additional feedback
- Speaking with media (optional/upon request)
Ideal candidates are:
- 13-17 years of age
- Passionate about the health and rights of young people (although we are NOT looking for experts on sex ed – just be yourself)
- Willing to speak up and honestly share your feedback to ensure AMAZE content is relevant and helpful to young people
Compensation: Ambassadors will receive $50 for every Zoom meeting they attend, and $25 for every survey they complete. We will also work to provide trainings to our youth ambassadors in skills or topics of interest. In the past, this has included how to make a social media post go viral, how to talk to the media, and a meet and greet with our animator where young people could ask questions about the animation process and how to get a job in that field.
